Local foundations fight back on substance abuse
ISHPEMING — Substance abuse is an increasingly serious issue and thanks to the partnership between Western Marquette County Health Foundation and the Superior Health Foundation we may soon see change.
Today at the Ishpeming–Negaunee Chamber of Commerce a ceremony took place donating fifteen–thousand dollars to Superior Health towards fighting the substance abuse epidemic.
“We had nearly five hundred thousand dollars in proposals to take a look at and we’ve selected some good regional proposals that will address this issue across the Upper Peninsula you know on the treatment side and the prevention side.”
This partnership is the product of an urgent need to do something to protect families and children. Superior Health would like to express their thanks for the chance to do so.
