U.P. Fall Beer Fest tickets on sale
MARQUETTE–Some may feel summer has flown by, but for craft beer lovers the end of the season means U.P. Fall Beer Fest is right around the corner.
The 9th annual U.P. Fall Beer Festival will be held in Marquette Saturday, September 9th at Mattson Lower Harbor Park. Five thousand craft beer enthusiasts come together getting a chance to enjoy brews from around the state. Later this week the Michigan Brewers Guild will announce all the breweries and live music at the event.
“It’s a lot of fun for somebody who is very familiar with craft beer; because there is beer there that you might not be able to get to normally and brewers that you do get to get to normally like to bring special things,” Michigan Brewers Guild executive director Scott Graham said. “But it is also a great opportunity for somebody who hasn’t experimented as much or been exposed to craft beer. There are so many different things that they can try.”
Tickets are $40 and currently sold online and at local venders around Marquette. According to Graham the event usually sells out before hand, but if tickets are leftover they will be available for purchase at the gate. On-goers receive 15 tokens to exchange for beer. The event promotes responsible drinking; $5 designated driver tickets will be available as well.
