Phase 1 of reconstruction on Presque Isle Avenue begins

MARQUETTE — Fair Avenue from Presque Isle Avenue to Third Street will be closed to through traffic beginning Monday morning.

This is the first phase of four phases of reconstruction work and is expected to last two weeks. Traffic for Fair Avenue will detour from Presque Isle Avenue to Kaye Avenue, to Third Street, and back onto Fair.

Presque Isle Avenue will remain open by the use of a lane shift. Businesses in the area will be open and can be accessed by way of Third Street.

The public is reminded to use caution when traveling through construction zones and be alert for construction, detour and advisory signs.
