Family owned yoga studio hosts grand opening
NEGAUNEE– Starting Tuesday morning locals in Negaunee have a yoga studio close to home, that intends to honor the community and practice.
Honor Yoga held a grand opening ribbon ceremony on Iron St. Tuesday morning. The studio is family owned and ran- offering classes for yogi enthusiasts, beginners, and children. One class in particular called yad is a high intensity class with flow at the end. This class is taught in Minnesota and created by the owners sister focusing on your own determination.
“Honor Yoga came from, kind of like Namaste, the soul honors your soul, I honor your soul,” owner Brianna Salmela said. “So anyone who walks through the door I’m going to honor you, respect you. You came here to practice, therefore I want to be honored back, and just honoring the community and the space that we provided.”
The first class kicks off Tuesday evening at 5:30 p.m. On August 23rd Honor Yoga is hosting a pack the park at Miner’s Park with a free kids class and $5 adult session in the evening.
