Museum holds big birthday bash
MARQUETTE– The Upper Peninsula Children Museum in Marquette was packed as they held their twentieth birthday bash this evening.
Kids who attended were treated to a fish pond, photo booth, pin the nose on the bunny, other games, pizza, and of course lots of cake after they sang “Happy Birthday” to the museum.
Organizers said they wanted to make the celebration seem like a big kids birthday party.
And they also say they’re very happy to see the results.
“The turnout is fabulous, I really wanted it to be pack the house kinda fun and we certainly got that,” said Nheena Ittner. “It’s so exciting; I mean celebrating 20 amazing years, it’s a great celebration.”
Ittner said that she was looking forward to many more exciting years and that the museum had this upcoming year packed with events.
She also said that they wouldn’t be here without amazing support from the community.
