Bergman appointed to Veterans Committee
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Jack Bergman, the representative for the First Congressional District in Michigan, has been selected to serve on the House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs. Bergman is a Vietnam Veteran and served as a three-star Lieutenant General for the Marine Corps.
When asked about his new role, Bergman said he couldn’t be more excited to further serve those who served in the military. The committee’s Chairman, Phil Roe, said Bergman’s experiences will continue to better the VA.
The committee is responsible for vet programs, examining current laws and reports bills to strengthen laws concerning veterans.
