Two arrested on OWI, marijuana charges

ONTONAGON — Two Ontonagon residents are in trouble with the law after being arrested early Saturday morning.

At approximately 3:30 a.m., an Ontonagon County Sheriff’s Deputy discovered a vehicle in the ditch on Firesteel Road. The deputy arrested the driver, a 22-year-old man on multiple charges, including operating while intoxicated and resisting and obstructing.

The passenger in the vehicle, a 35-year-old woman, was arrested for possession of marijuana. She was released from jail after posting bond.

Names of the arrested individuals won’t be released until they’re arraigned in district court.
