VIDEO: Doug has Hockeyville tickets, and he couldn't be more excited
MARQUETTE — With all the volunteers and those working hard to bring the community together for Hockeyville USA, we’ve witnessed some amazing things this week.
The community has rallied around Lakeview Arena to make Tuesday’s NHL preseason game an unforgettable experience. But, this; this takes the cake. Watch a local man’s reaction to the surprise that he gets to attend the game.
If you’ve ever visited the YMCA in Marquette County or Lakeview Arena, chances are you’ve ran into the city’s most charming, endearing person, Doug.
Doug loves hockey. Doug loves Lakeview Arena. He was ecstatic just to go to the practice, but courtesy of Korie Garrow Moyer, Doug got a special surprise and now can attend the game.
On a video posted on Facebook over the weekend Seabrook Satterlund wrote, “Korie Garrow Moyer, this video speaks for itself when I tell you how excited our Uncle Doug was when he found out that you gave him a set of game tickets to the Kraftville NHL hockey game at Lakeview arena…”
Doug was excited to go see them practice but in my 42 years I don’t think I’ve ever seen on his face this much enthusiasm and excitement for anything. Doug lives for sports and specifically hockey. There’s not a dry eye in the Satterlund or Raudio bunch today because of your generosity. We can’t thank you enough for what you did. Doug and the rest of our family will remember this forever.”
