ISHPEMING — A ribbon ceremony was held today for a local hair salon that had some huge remodeling done in the past couple months.

Native Nails in downtown Ishpeming was first opened back in 2014. Since then, the business has boomed causing the owner to hire more stylists and staff members. Some new services are now offered at the salon that the workers are eager to show off to the public.

“There’s new additional services here with stylists and a new nail tech, and a potential massage therapist, there’s tanning here now. It’s thriving,” said Native Nails Owner, Sarah Garver.

Members of the Greater Ishpeming-Negaunee Chamber of Commerce assisted with the ribbon cutting to express their excitement for the future of the salon. The Native Nails Owner is also thrilled to see what’s in store for her business.

“I’m looking forward to meeting some more fabulous people and maybe some people who want to come and join my team to make people beautiful,” said Garver.

Anyone in need of a manicure, pedicure, or even a tan is more than invited to stop by.
