Trespassing suspect restrained by police
KINGSFORD — A Kingsford man had to be restrained by police after allegedly trespassing at a Kingsford residence Sunday afternoon.
Kingsford Public Safety officers say they responded to the 100 block of Hemlock Street shortly before 4:00 p.m. for a report of a male subject that entered a garage without permission. The homeowner told police that the man had left the garage and was walking west on Breitung Avenue.
Officers made contact with the suspect near Beech Street, where they say he became combative and resisted, fighting the officers. The 18-year-old suspect was restrained and transported to Dickinson County Healthcare System by Beacon paramedics for a medical evaluation.
The incident is still under investigation. The results of the investigation will be sent to the Prosecutor’s Office upon completion.
Kingsford Public Safety was assisted at the scene by the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office and Beacon ambulance.
