UPDATE: Three taken to hospital after two car crash

UPDATE — Monday, August 1, 2016 12:30 p.m. EDT

The names of those involved in the two-car accident outside of Walmart last night have been released.

The driver of the Dodge Neon responsible for the crash was Joash Caron-Koepp, 20, of Kingsley. He was checked at the scene and chose to seek his own medical treatment.

Alex Holmes, 17, of Marquette was was a passenger in Caron-Koepps car. The jaws of life was used to extricate him from the vehicle. He was released from UP Health System – Marquette and released earlier today.

Brittany Young, 21, also of Marquette was a passenger in the Neon. She was check out and discharged by the hospital.

The GMC Yukon was driven by Randy Trepanier, 35, of Ishpeming. He suffered minor injuries and sought his own medical treatment.


MARQUETTE — Three people were taken to the hospital after a two car crash outside of Walmart last night.

Deputies from the Marquette County Sheriff’s Office say they responded to a car accident on the intersection of US-41 and County Road HQ around 11 p.m. last night.

A Kingsley man driving a Dodge Neon failed to stop at the flashing red light. His vehicle was struck by a west bound GMC Yukon driven by an Ishpeming man.

A passenger in the Neon was extricated from the vehicle with the Jaws of Life. Two passengers in the Neon, along with the driver, were transported to UP Health System – Marquette.

The driver of the Yukon received minor injuries.
