Game & comic book store expands its operation

MARQUETTE — A popular game and comic book store in Marquette has opened up another location.

Taiga Games held a ribbon cutting ceremony this afternoon at its new store on West Washington Street. The store is a lot bigger than the other one on Third Street.

Co–Owner Sam Towers says the plan is to keep the location on Third Street for people to play games at. Most of their merchandise will be sold at their new facility.

Taiga Games specializes in board games, comic books, action figures and more.

“I really like creating an environment where people can come in and find products that they can take home, increase the enjoyment of their lives and feel welcome,” said Towers. “I like being able to effect the environment like that.”

Taiga Games will celebrate its third anniversary in August. The new store is located at 145 West Washington Street, right next to The 906 Sports Bar and Grill.
