HOUGHTON — The case against a Houghton man allegedly involved in a high speed chase continues.

33-year-old Rudolph Voght (VOTE) stood mute in Houghton County Circuit Court to 3rd Degree Fleeing and Eluding. That’s a felony with a maximum prison sentence of five years, but Voght could face up to twice that amount if convicted as a Habitual Offender 3rd Offense.

Police say Voght led them on a high speed chase in May while on his motorcycle. Speeds reportedly topped well over 100 miles an hour and lasted for roughly 60 miles. Since Voght stood mute, a Not Guilty plea was entered on his behalf.

He is currently out on bond, a pretrial will be held in about 30 days.
