Local hospital announces new CMO
MARQUETTE — There’s a new chief in town. U.P. Health System – Marquette will debut its Chief Medical Officer on May 17th.
The announcement came from chief executive officer, W. Trent Crable; who informed the public that Dr. Wael Khouli, MD, MBA, has been appointed to serve as Chief Medical Officer, or CMO. Dr. Khouli comes to Marquette from Health-East Care System in St. Paul, Minnesota. There, he was the Medical Director of Care Management.
The doctor with fifteen years of experience spent a decade in the Twin Cities; a place known for its top notch health care. From there, he brings intense knowledge of quality care and clinical integration of continuum care. Dr. Khouli is board certified in internal medicine.
