Upper Peninsula Weekend Weather Forecast 5/13-16

Shunk-Grey

Upper Peninsula Weekend Weather Forecast with ABC 10 Chief Meteorologist Adam Claibon. Expect colder conditions Saturday through Sunday with rain and areas of possible snow.

Friday may have been breezy, but other than that, it wasn’t too bad of an afternoon. And it was definitely better than what we’ll see over the weekend. We’ll get to that shortly. First, tonight rain rolls back into the region, with cooler air following closely behind. Lows will drop between the low to mid-30s, while northwest winds blow at 5 to 10 miles per hour.

Saturday brings even more excitement, with unseasonably cold air, strong winds, and scattered snow showers, perhaps bringing a slushy coating to grassy surfaces. Highs will only reach the mid and upper-30s, while winds howl out of the northwest at 15 to 25 miles per hour.

Tomorrow night, the wintry conditions linger, but no additional accumulations are expected. Low temps will bottom out in the upper-20s and lower-30s, while northwest winds weaken around 5 to 10 miles per hour. More isolated light snow showers hang around into Sunday, ending our May weekend on a completely brutally cold note. Enjoy your weekend!
