Men sentenced in Circuit Court
MARQUETTE — Two men were sentenced in Marquette County Circuit Court this morning.
Twenty–four year old Tyler Paquette was sentenced to one year probation with a condition of ninety days in jail with work release permission.
The sentence stemmed from a January incident in which Paquette was arrested for possession of an illegal growth hormone.
Thirty–eight year old Kowayne Burns was also in Circuit Court this morning.
Burns did not receive a sentence, instead, sentencing was delayed to give him the opportunity to prove himself deserving of leniency. A hearing to evaluate the rate at which Burns is improving will take place in nine to ten months.
Burns was arrested in March for his involvement in an assault in a parking garage on Washington Street in Marquette.
