MARQUETTE — The man arrested in a police standoff yesterday evening is charged with armed robbery.

Twenty-eight year old Kirk Michael Schultz appeared in Marquette County District Court this morning via a video conference.

He was apprehended yesterday after a standoff with police in Ishpeming Township. A warrant for Schultz’s arrest was issued for his role in an armed robbery that took place in the city of Marquette in March.

Schultz is the last of four men to be arrested in connection to the robbery.

He is currently being lodged at Marquette County Jail with a cash bond set at fifty thousand dollars. Schultz will make another appearance in District Court on May 24 for a probable cause conference.
