Ishpeming road closures

ISHPEMING — Motorists traveling through Ishpeming should expect delays as road closures have been announced for May 10.

Second Street/Dear Lake Avenue will be closed starting at 8:00 a.m. so roundabout construction can move forward. A detour route via Elm Street and Hickory Street will be available.

Ralph’s Deli will remain accessible to the public.

The section of Third Street between Michigan and Maurice will be closed for pavement repairs from last winter’s water main break.

All intersections of Third Street will be open but the city of Ishpeming has implemented a detour route using Second and Empire. It will reopen later in the day once the asphalt has cooled.
