Domestic situation lands man behind bars
IRON MOUNTAIN — A domestic violence in progress call to police resulted in the arrest of an Iron Mountain man on four felony charges.
The Iron Mountain Police Department arrested 30-year-old Daniel Shaughnessy on Friday. Just after 8:30 p.m., police were called to a residence on the 1100 block of Vulcan Street for a domestic situation.
Shaughnessy was arrested on charges of controlled substance- delivery/manufacture of marijuana, two counts of assaulting, resisting, obstructing a police officer and weapons- felony firearm. All four charges are felony counts.
He was also charged with purchasing a pistol without a license and disturbing the peace, both misdemeanors. Shaughnessy is in jail on a $20,000 cash/surety bond.
He’s due back in court for a preliminary exam on May 26th.
