Phone scam reported

MARQUETTE — Upper Peninsula Power Company is warning its customers of another phone scam.

There are reports of scammers posing as representatives of another utility who threaten service disconnection if a payment arrangement is not made.

UPPCO is asking anyone who receives this phone call to write down any information about the call including the phone number of the caller and to contact the Customer Contact Center. (800) 562-7680.

In addition, individuals who receive this call should not provide any private information.
