Two men injured in early morning accident
TILDEN TOWNSHIP — An early morning roll–over accident left the two occupants injured.
Around 2:30 a.m. this morning Michigan State Police Troopers responded to a personal injury accident on County Road 581 near County Road PPR in Tilden Township, Marquette County.
Troopers found that the car and it’s two passengers, 53–year old Brian Meyers of Ishpeming and 23–year old Michael Carter of Gwinn, were traveling southbound on County Road 581 at the time of the crash.
The vehicle left the roadway, overturned several times and struck multiple trees before striking a utility pole. Meyers and Carter were transported to U.P. Health System – Marquette.
Alcohol and excessive speed are believed to have been factors. The accident remains under investigation.
