Responders assist with capsized boat

GLADSTONE — Police and volunteer firefighters helped some boaters on Little Bay de Noc Wednesday evening after their craft flipped over.

Gladstone Public Safety officers say they were called to the scene of a small overturned catamaran about 200 yards off the Gladstone Yacht Harbor shortly before 7:00 p.m. Police sent their department’s hovercraft to help the two boaters turn the boat back upright.

The Delta County Sheriff’s Department also used their boat to help the pair return to where the craft was launched. The Gladstone Volunteer Fire Department assisted in the incident.
