DRUMMOND ISLAND — A Drummond Island man was arrested Thursday after a lengthy child pornography investigation.
Officials from the Chippewa County Sheriff’s Office say 66-year-old Robert Louis Henning is charged with ten counts of possession of child pornography, ten counts of using a computer to commit a crime, and one count of manufacturing marijuana. During their investigation, deputies seized several hard drives and computers. A forensic examination of some of those items allegedly uncovered thousands of images and videos of child pornography.
While executing the search warrant on Henning’s residence, deputies also found a marijuana grow operation. They say Henning is not a medical marijuana patient, nor is he a caregiver.
Henning was arraigned in 91st District Court on Friday, and he is housed at the Chippewa County Correctional Facility. Additional examinations and evidence processing are pending in this case.
The Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with any additional information about this case to call (906) 635-6355.
