Marquette County Fair is ready for it’s 25th year
GWINN — The Marquette County Fair is set to begin tomorrow. 2015 marks the 25th year for the fair.
If you’re running an event and bringing in over 11,000 people year after year, there’s a good chance you’re doing something right. The Marquette County Fair features attractions for people of all ages.
“We have Whispering Pines, they’re a petting zoo,” said Marquette County Fair Special Events Coordinator Jamie Tomczyk, “there’s going to be camel rides and lots of animals to pet for the kiddos.”
This year’s fair will showcase a new ride that will give the people who ride a view that’s arguably better than from a ferris wheel.
“We also have zip–lining this year so you’ll be able to soar across the fairgrounds,” added Tomczyk.
Whether you’re going down a slide, testing the strength of your arms or stomach, the Marquette County Fair will have rides for everyone to enjoy.
If you need to take a break you can sit and watch the go–kart races, music at the pavilion, or visit the UPAWS brew tent.
“All the proceeds (from the brew tent) go towards building their new location here out by the fairgrounds. They’re really trying to ramp up their donations so this is a great way to really support the fair, have a cold beer and support them.”
