U.P. man faces Federal Drug Charges

GOGEBIC COUNTY — A Western U.P. man is facing federal drug charges after he accepted a plea deal in Circuit Court.

According to records from the Gogebic County Prosecutor’s Office, 30–year–old Raymond Bowser of Bessemer accepted a plea deal last week. Bowser pleaded guilty to a domestic violence charge and a resisting and obstructing charge.

Along with help from the U.S. Marshals, the Gogebic Iron Area Narcotics Team arrested Bowser back on April 18th. At the time, Bowser was wanted in three different states.

After agreeing to a plea deal, Bowser was transferred to Marquette,  to appear in U.S. Federal Court, on a complaint for possession to distribute heroin.

Bowser’s next court date in Federal Court has not yet been set.
