NMU announces captains for upcoming hockey season

MARQUETTE — Today, the Northern Michigan hockey team thinks they have found their leaders for the upcoming season.

Head coach Walt Kyle has named three juniors as the team captains fro the 2015–16 season: Dominik Shine, Shane Sooth and Brock Maschmeyer. Kyle says all three know the values of the program and the direction the team is headed.

Shine played in 26 games during his sophomore season last year and ranked third on the team in points with 20. Sooth was one of five players to play every game last year and ranked second in points with 21. Maschmeyer led the team in goals as a defenseman and was also third in points with 20.
