Kero named WCHA Player of the Week
EDINA, Minn. – Michigan Tech forward Tanner Kero has been named the WCHA Offensive Player of the Week. The senior had three points at the 50th Great Lakes Invitational.
Kero, a native of Hancock, Mich., was named to the GLI All-Tournament team. He assisted on Malcolm Gould‘s first period goal in the semifinal against Michigan. In the GLI Third Place Game, Kero scored a shorthanded goal and assisted on Gould’s second-period tally.
Kero leads the Huskies with 21 points and 15 assists. He has five multiple-point games this season.
Tech opens the New Year at Wisconsin for its final non-conference games of the season on Friday and Saturday (Jan. 2-3). The puck drops at 8:05 p.m. both nights. Saturday’s game will be televised live on the Big Ten Network.
