Two-vehicle accident at Big Valley Ford in Ewen
EWEN — There were minor injuries in a two-vehicle accident that occurred Tuesday just after 8 a.m. in Ewen.
The Ontonagon County Sheriff’s Office says Brian Killoran, 33, of Rockland was driving west on M-28 when he made to pass a vehicle on the right. The second vehicle, driven by John Fassbender of Land O’ Lakes, WI, was slowing down, attempting to make a right turn into the Big Valley Ford parking lot.
According to police, Fassbender said he had activated his blinker with the intent to make the right turn. He then saw Killoran’s vehicle drive by him on the right, through the Big Valley Ford parking lot. Killoran then crashed into a parked and unoccupied vehicle sitting on the lot.
Killoran’s passenger told the responding deputy that after passing Fassbender’s vehicle, Killoran lost control and hit the parked vehicle.
Killoran and his female passenger received minor injuries in the crash and were taken to Aspirus Grand View Hospital by Sonco where they were treated and released.
