Five people arrested in Ironwood drug bust
IRONWOOD — A drug bust has landed five people in the Gogebic County Jail tonight.
It happened today on Oak Street in Ironwood. The Gogebic Iron Area Narcotics Team, or GIANT, says three males and two females have been arrested on controlled substance charges.
Police say those charges include heroin delivery but aren’t limited to that. Ironwood Public Safety, the Hurley Police, the Gogebic and Iron County Sheriff’s Departments, a Michigan State Police canine unit and an area SWAT team assisted in the drug bust.
The case is still being investigated, and GIANT says no further information is available at this point.
