It’s time to dust off the skis and snowboards and hit the slopes.

Marquette Mountain opened for the season Friday. With over 20 runs to take on, ranging from the easy to the difficult, Marquette Mountain has something for everybody.

“We have three different classifications of runs,” lift manager Andrew Ballew said. “Green runs are our easiest; blue runs are intermediate; and we also have some black diamond runs that are advance for skiers that want to take the difficult trails.”

The mountain also offers three terrain parks for those who want to display their talents with some flair. The Marquette Mountain team is also optimistic about this season’s turnout as opposed to last year.

“I believe we’re going to get a higher turnout of skier visits because hopefully it’s not as cold as last year,” Ballew said. “Thos negative degree days really hurt a lot of skiers coming out. This year, hopefully, we can push through those cold days and have a good turnout.”

Season passes are available for families or individuals.
