Huskies & Wildcats both nationally ranked

EDINA, Minn. – The college hockey season is definitely off to a strong start in the Upper Peninsula for two of the three teams. Michigan Tech and Northern Michigan are both ranked in this week’s USCHO.com rankings.

The Huskies (6-0-0) are coming off of a weekend sweep of Michigan. Tech moves up from No. 17 to No. 9 in this week’s rankings. The Wildcats (5-0-1) finished their series against Alabama-Huntsville with a win and a tie. NMU is ranked No. 20.

Michigan Tech welcomes Alaska-Anchorage to Houghton Friday and Saturday. Northern Michigan welcomes No. 16 Ferris State to the Berry Events Center this Friday and Saturday.
