GLIAC football: NMU at home; MTU at Tiffin
MARQUETTE – As the college basketball season begins to heat up, the college football regular season is nearing the home stretch. Northern Michigan is back at home tomorrow, taking on Walsh, while Michigan Tech looks to rebound in Tiffin after a tough game against Ferris State last week. It’s another big weekend of football for both programs.
“We want to finish strong in order to ensure another good finish. We’ve been able to do that the last couple of years,” said NMU head coach Chris Ostrowsky. “I think that’s important in showing our team’s progress, so I think we have to keep doing that. We’re going to do the best we can to being a sound, fundamentally right, and do the things I think good football teams need to do from an offensive perspective.”
“We’re going into Ohio to play a real good football team,” said MTU head coach Tom Kearly about the Dragons. “The more you watch them on film, the more you realize how good that football team is. We watched that Hillsdale game and I don’t know if I’ve seen a team play harder.”
NMU plays at 1 p.m., Tech plays at 1:30 p.m.
