Norway Dairy Queen store affected by data breach

ISHPEMING — Chalk up one more company on the list of victims of an electronic data breach.

Dairy Queen corporate officials in Minnesota say hackers may have gained access to customer names, credit and debit card numbers, and expiration dates.

Nearly 400 stores around the country have been affected. Dairy Queen says its store on US-2 in Norway is one of those. The data breach at the Norway store happened between August 1st and August 29th.

Dairy Queen says it’s worked with law enforcement authorities and credit card companies to investigate. It says there’s no evidence that Social Security numbers, personal identification numbers or email addresses have been accessed.

The company is also offering affected customers free identity repair services.
