Trials scheduled for Sault Ste. Marie armed robbery suspects
Two Sault Ste. Marie residents allegedly involved in an armed robbery will be going to trial.
Michael Bosley, 20, and Kevin Cook, 20, both pled not guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit armed robbery. Bosley is charged as a two-time habitual offender. During Bosley’s motion hearing in Chippewa County Circuit Court this week, there was a motion made to quash information from a previous court decision, but that request was denied.
The pair, along with three other teenagers, allegedly threatened to beat up a man with a gun — which later turned out to be a BB gun — during a drug deal near Ashmun Bay in March. Police say they stole more than $200 dollars from the man.
Cook has a trial scheduled for September 10th through the 12th, and Bosley will have his trial on October 22nd through the 24th.
