Buck Nystrom to enter MSU Hall of Fame
Carl ‘Buck’ Nystrom has been around the game of football all of his life. He has had all kinds of success on the gridiron, especially at his Alma Mater, Michigan State University.
MSU Athletic Director Mark Hollis recently informed Nystrom that he will be inducted into the Michigan State Hall of Fame Class of 2014. Nystrom played football for the Spartans from 1953-55.
Despite standing only 5’10” weighing under 200 lbs., Nystrom played on the offensive and defensive lines for the Spartans. Michigan State won a Big Ten Title, two Rose Bowls, and a National Championship during Nystrom’s time with the team.
Coach Nystrom has been coaching the game of football for more than 58 years, most recently at Gwinn High School. The Hall of Fame ceremony takes place on the campus of Michigan State University on Thursday, Sept. 18.
