Motorcycle accident sends one to hospital in Marquette County
A motorcycle accident in eastern Marquette County Wednesday night sent one person to the hospital.
Troopers from the Negaunee Post of the Michigan State Police say they were dispatched to the intersection of US-41 and M-94 East around 9:00 p.m. Two motorcycles were involved in the incident.
One female rider was transported to Marquette General Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, and another male rider sought his own treatment for minor injuries. All of those involved in the crash were wearing helmets and safety gear. One rider was cited for failure to stop within an assured clear distance.
Michigan State Police Trooeprs were assisted at the scene by the Forsyth Police Department, Chocolay Township Police Department, Skandia Township First Responders, Skandia Township Fire, and Marquette General EMS.
