MSP receives grant to purchase trauma kits

The Iron Mountain Post of the Michigan State Police will receive $500 in grant funding to help buy mobile emergency trauma kits.

The grant money was presented to the post by the Wal-Mart Foundation.

Troopers from the post are currently participating in an assigned vehicle program, and often arrive at emergency scenes in advance of medical personnel.  With the grant, the post can purchase four kits that will be used throughout Dickinson and Iron Counties.
