NMU golf team to finish spring season

MARQUETTE, Mich. – The Northern Michigan University golf team will complete its spring season at the Ferris State Bulldog Invitational Saturday.
The Wildcats are coming off finishing action at the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletics Conference South Invitational Sunday shooting a combined 326 to finish 11th out of 13 teams at the Winding Hollow Golf Club on April 20.
Senior Jared Reid finished tied for 11th finishing the tournament with a combined 153 for the two-day event. Reid shot a 72 in day one and an 81 in day two.
Junior Ayrton Mantha carded a combined 161 finishing in a tie for 46th which was second for the Wildcats. Mantha shot 78 in the second round on Sunday.
Freshman Dustin Dishaw led the Wildcats on day-two carding a second round score of 77 finishing in a tie for 49th with a combined 162 in the event.
