Negaunee residents arrested after meth components found in home
Two Marquette County residents are facing drug charges after meth components were found in a Negaunee home.
Thomas Harig and Ashley Heggaton, both of Negaunee, were arrested April 8th by detectives from the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team at 216 Midway Drive. Relatives of one of the suspects want to reiterate that the home is not a meth lab. They say the owner’s granddaughter was merely apprehended there.
The pair was arraigned in Marquette County District Court in Ishpeming and are each facing two charges. Harig is charged with operating/maintaining a meth lab and possession of meth; Heggaton is charged with operating/maintaining a meth lab and possession of non-narcotics.
Harig and Heggaton are lodged in the Marquette County Jail on $60,000 cash bonds.
Their next court date is scheduled for April 24.
