Roaring 20’s gala to benefit NMU’s Hospitality Management scholarships
It’s time to get out flapper dresses and zoot suits for a good cause.
Northern Michigan University’s Hospitality Management Banquets and Catering Class is hosting its annual fundraising gala next Friday, April 11.
The theme is The Roaring 20’s.
All proceeds from the event will fund the NMU Hospitality Management scholarships. This year, the class hopes to raise $3,500 to endow the Memorial Study Abroad Scholarship. The class is also competing for national awards from Pride of Case V for Community Collaboration and Fundraising Education.
Students in the class plan the menu, decor, service, entertainment, and marketing for the gala.
A reception starts at 6 p.m. and dinner starts at 7 p.m. at NMU’s Jacobetti Complex. The gala includes entertainment, live and silent auctions, and a five course dinner with wine parings.
