Art gallery displays colors of spring
One of the best things about spring is when the snow starts the melt away and color returns to the world.
Here in the U.P., it takes a little longer for that color to emerge, so the Michigamme Moonshine Art Gallery has you covered until it does. The art gallery is presenting an exhibit called Neon through April 30th, showcasing pieces by three renowned artists.
The artists will all be in attendance at a special reception Sunday, March 23rd.
“Three artists are represented during the special event on Sunday,” gallery owner Friederike Roach said. “Martha Fotopulos, Michael Friend and Laura Stahl Maze have their new work shown at this show and the reception will be on Sunday from 2:00 until 4:00. Refreshments will be served.”
Each artist utilizes vibrant colors in different ways. Martha Fotopulos is more of an abstract artist, Michael Friend paints dots that become vivid images and Laura Stahl Maze mixes paint, string, cloth and other crafts to create her art.
