Huskies men’s b-ball team is going dancing
A 22-7 record and a run all the way to the GLIAC Tournament finals was good enough to get the Michigan Tech men’s basketball team into the NCAA Division II Tournament.
The Huskies are the No. 6 seed in the Midwest Regional. They will take on No. 3 Southern Indiana in the first round. All of the games in the Midwest Regional will take place at Drury University in Springfield, MO.
Michigan Tech and Southern Indiana will play on Saturday, Mar. 15. Game time has yet TBD.
Two other GLIAC teams, Lake Superior State and Findlay, also made the Midwest Regional. The No. 4 Oilers will battle the No 5. Lakers on Saturday.
On Sunday, the Huskies lost to the Oilers in the GLIAC Tournament Championship game at the University of Findlay, 69-63. Austin Armga led the Huskies with a game high 26 points.
