Opening reception for three art exhibits
Three new art exhibits were celebrated at the Marquette Arts and Culture Center Thursday night.
An artists reception was held at the MAAC to celebrate the “Winter Charm”, “Revisiting People and Places” and “Rock, Water, and Wood” exhibits.
The public snacked on light refreshments as they talked with the artists and viewed the scenic paintings.
The Upper Peninsula’s natural beauty, including many winter-weather scenes, is highlighted in all three exhibits and feature talents from artists in the area. Each exhibit offers different mediums – oil, pastel, and wood, offering a wide range of artwork.
“Winter Charm” is on display in the Huron Mountain Room on the mail level of the Peter White Public Library; “Revisiting People and Places” and “Rock, Water, and Wood” are on display at the MAAC, which is located in the basement of the library. All exhibits will be on display through the month of February.
