Marquette man sentenced for drunk driving
The man at the center of a three-car accident that took place in Marquette in November was sentenced in Marquette County District Court today.
Tim Larson, 73, will have to spend two years on probation and pay $2,300 in fines. Larson was originally charged with operating while intoxicated, third offense, but was able to make a deal involving a lesser charge. He pleaded guilty in December to OWI, second offense.
The Marquette City Police Department says the incident in question involved a Buick driven by Larson that did not yield at the intersection of US-41 and M-28. Larson crashed into a compact car, which then hit a minivan. Larson and the other drivers in the accident were all treated for minor injuries.
