The Upper Peninsula is in line for more cold weather and more snow.

Houghton has received about three inches of snow Thursday and is expecting another four to six inches Thursday night. this evening.

Marquette County was sunny but cold early Thursday afternoon.  Some roads remain slippery and slushy despite the sunshine.

Other parts of the Upper Peninsula are under a Lake Effect Snow Warning until 7 p.m. Thursday.

Areas east of Munising and north of Newberry are also under the Lake Effect Snow Warning and can expect additional accumulations Thursday night of a few inches–some higher terrain areas can expect several inches.

Up to six inches are expected to fall in Houghton through Thursday night.  One to six inches of additional snow is expected in the Keweenaw.

Drivers traveling through areas of snow should give themselves enough time to get to their destination, be cautious, and slow down.
