Police: Death of Marquette man most likely accidental
The investigation is still open, but the Marquette Police say there is no evidence of foul play in the death of Shawn Dollar 15 months ago.
Dollar was found dead in an abandoned building on Washington Street in September of 2012. Police say he died of head trauma. After following up on leads and numerous interviews, police say Dollar most likely died from an accidental fall, but authorities say they’d like to get closure for the family.
“He was with a group of friends that night, and all the stories are different as to what they were doing and exactly where certain people were at,” Marquette Police Det. Sgt. Mike Kohler said. “There is an element of closure that needs to be reached with family, and when you are unable to answer certain questions with definity, then it creates stress.”
