Medical condition a factor in rollover crash
An undiagnosed medical condition appears to be a factor in a rollover crash in Gladstone.
Troopers from the Gladstone Post of the Michigan State Police say a GMC Acadia driven by a 70–year–old Rapid River woman drove off M–35/U.S. 2/U.S. 41 around 10: 30 Wednesday morning.
They say her vehicle went into the ditch and overturned, coming to a rest upside down with the woman inside. The woman was wearing a seatbelt and the vehicle’s airbags deployed.
The woman suffered minor injuries and was transported to OSF St. Francis Hospital where an undiagnosed medical condition was discovered. She was later transferred to Marquette General Hospital for further treatment.
Troopers say no citation was issued, and the medical condition is a significant factor in the crash.
The Escanaba Public Safety Department, Delta County Sheriff’s Department, Escanaba Township Fire Department, Rampart EMS, and Gene’s Towing assisted the State Police at the scene.
