Wolf Hunt tally approaches 50% of goal
The Department of Natural Resources says 20 wolves have been killed in the first three weeks of the U.P Wolf Hunt. As of 6 a.m. EST on 12/7/2013, the tally is as follows:
WMU-A
Status: Open
Current Harvest: 5
WMU-B
Status: Open
Current Harvest: 12
WMU-C
Status: Open
Current Harvest: 3
Licensed hunters are permitted to take a total of 43 wolves in the three zones. The hunting period will continue until December 31 or until the quota of 43 wolves is met, whichever comes first.
