Drug busts lead to multiple arrests
Four suspects have been arrested in a Chippewa County drug investigation that began earlier this week.
Officers from the Chippewa County Sheriff’s Office and the Sault Ste Marie Police Department made several drug purchases in the area, leading to three separate search warrants that resulted in the seizure of several pounds of marijuana, thousands of dollars in drug money, digital scales, an Assault style rifle, and a semi-automatic handgun.
Four suspects were arrested following the search and seizure.
Nineteen-year-old Trevor Pride is charged with one count of delivery of marijuana, two counts of felony firearm possession, one count of conspiracy to deliver marijuana, and one count of altering the identification of a firearm.
Neal Mannisto and Nicholas Dangler, both age 17, are charged with one count of delivery of marijuana, and one count of conspiracy to deliver marijuana.
Pride, Mannisto, and Dangler have all been arraigned, and are scheduled to appear back in court on December 16th for a preliminary exam.
A fourth suspect was also arrested, but they were released on bond. The suspect’s name and charges will be released after they’ve been arraigned sometime next week.
