Man sentenced on attempted B&E charges
A Manistique man will be spending almost a year in jail on two attempted breaking and entering charges.
John Rachel, 28, was sentenced to forty-two days in jail with credit for forty-two served on one count of attempted breaking and entering with intent.
In October, Rachel attempted to break into the Gold and Silver Exchange on Third Street in Marquette. The owner discovered that Rachel had damaged the front door of the business.
In a separate attempted breaking and entering with intent incident, Rachel was sentenced to 360 days in jail with credit for forty-two. That incident occurred in August.
